Emily puts me to shame when it comes to sticking with an exercise routine. I noticed this morning that she actually did 15 minutes of fitness both days this weekend, and I, well, I did not. Unless you count furious housecleaning.
Which I am going to. Saturday I got down and dirty – cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, picking up all over the house. Sunday I cleaned out closets and boxed up small toddler clothes while putting away the larger toddler clothes. Both days my cleaning took much longer than fifteen minutes and was physically intensive (not terribly physically intensive, but somewhat), so I’m totally counting it.
According to this website housecleaning burns lots of calories, as do tons of other non-traditional methods of exercise like gardening, shopping and even kissing. Ah, this makes me feel a lot better! I clean house everyday! Even so, today I’m going to try to get 20 minutes in with my Turbo Jam 20 minute workout. We’ll see how naptime goes this afternoon. 🙂
House cleaning definitely counts and so does… ummm… other activities that could possibly get you pregnant. LOL!!

YAYAYAYAYAYY for housework! FINALLY.
I did 34 minutes on the Wii Fit, and I’ve been cleaning.
Yay me!
I am soooo glad I’m not the only one that counts housecleaning as exercise!
