Mileage Friday
22.899 miles (Really it was a bit more (Not much ~So I’ll just round it up to 23 miles). My odometer wasn’t set right so for a couple blocks, it didn’t register until I stopped to fix it.
Mileage this last week consisted of:
- Monday 5/26: Bike ride to hear the echo’s. When we ride on Constitution trail, we go under a couple bridges and they echo! LOL The kids LOVE it.
- Wednesday 5/28: Bike to drop off the kids, Bike to the grocery store to pick up a few things (The bags were in the trailer!) Bike to pick UP the kids from daycare. It was a WINDY day. Yuck. I sounded like The Little Engine That Could… Ithink I can, I think I can while going up the hills… in the wind.
- Thursday 5/29: Biked the kids to school. I didn’t really feel like it, but Friday morning is supposed to be crappy, so I did it. A bike ride through the echo’s. Hubby hauled the kids.
My car stayed in the driveway for two days. It was kind of nice.

Weekly Yoga
Tuesday night I get in 15 minutes of Yoga (McDonald’s DVD ~ Ease me in and Stress Relief) and Wednesday morning 15 minutes of yoga (Same thing, different set ~Ease me in and Flexibility).
Thursday I do a bit of yoga (30 minutes!!) before bed and while watching the end of the Cubs game ~ they won! The following is the sequence. Hold each pose for 10 deep breaths unless otherwise noted:
- Yoga Mudra ~ kneeling
- Sun Salutations ~ 1 round
- Standing forward bend
- Tree pose
- Knee down spinal twisting
- Fish
- Full Shoulderstand
- Bound Angle
- Kapalabahti breathing ~ 10 rounds of 20 while kneeling
- Half Camel ~ 5 breaths each side
- Down dog
- Child’s pose ~ 5 breaths arms over head and 5 arms by side
- Yoga Mudra ~standing
- Half crescent ~or half moon~ 5 breaths each side
- Standing forward bend ~ 5 breaths

Fitness class
We had our regularly scheduled instructor today and my legs were shaking by the end of class. Today was rainy, so I didn’t bike to class today. We sign up for the next seission next week, and we’ll do it on-line. Yippee!!
Class next session will be at 9:15 instead of 1:15. Talk about a jolt in the morning to wake up! LOL!! I’ll be able to make it work. I’ll need to work through lunch one day a week and just sign in to work after class.

Morning yoga
This morning I got 15 minutes of yoga in while the kids were watching Mickey Mouse Playhouse.
- Sun Salutations (twice)
- Moon Salutations (holding each for 5 breathes)
- Fish pose (With baby girl laying on me!)
- Knee down spinal twisting
- Yoga Mudra
- Full Shoulderstand
That’s 60 minutes of yoga for the week! Yippee!!

Mileage Friday
I know, I know, I said that I would do Mileage Monday. I just don’t think that I’ll get much mileage in on the weekend, so here it is.
17.438 miles in three days.
- Tuesday: Taking the kids to school and riding to the gym for my fitness class
- Wednesday: Riding up the road to meet Mom for lunch and picking the kids up from school
- Thursday: Taking the kids to school
Today was a rainy morning so it wasn’t an option. Hubby is thinking about picking them up on my bike this afternoon.
Every morning, we see several regulars bike riding. Gas is well over $4.00/gal (4.17/gal I think).

More evening yoga
tonight I managed to get 15 minutes of freestyle yoga in. I did the following poses:
- Sun Salutations (of course! No practice is complete without it)
- Yoga Mudra (10 breathes)
- Standing forward bend (twice holding for 5 breaths)
- Full Shoulder stand (10 breaths)
- Kapalabhati breathing (10 rounds of 20) while sitting in bound angle
- Sitting spinal twisting (10 breaths in each direction on both sides)
And I’ve got My Big Redneck Wedding on the TV! LOL!!!

Yoga and class
I managed to be off the computer long enough last to get in 15 minutes of Yoga (McDonald’s Yoga DVD), but not long enough to do it twice. This morning I was awake, so I did it again. Both times “Ease me into it” and “Stress Relief”. Yesterday I followed along, today It was more of a guide. I did my own sun salutations this morning. So that’s 30 for the week so far.
Yesterday was my Tuesday fitness class. We had a sub, who normally teaches kickboxing and aerobics. My thighs are a bit sore this morning.
Yesterday I dropped the kids off on the bike and then rode to my fitness class. I’ll post on “Mileage Mondays” from now on.

mileage
Add 8.455 more miles on the bike with the trailer. Friday I rode the bike to pick themup from school and Satruday morning we jsut went on a ride with no destination in mind.
I’m going to start posting mileage just once a week, probably Monday’s.

bike trailer
Here is a picture of the Bike Trailer! FINALLY!! It is a Master Cycle Explorer trailer. The kids love it and I get good exercise too. I want to get a second hitch for hubby’s bike, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on-line. I’ll have to go to the cycle shop here in town to find it.

More yoga!
I started with
- Sun Salutations
- Moon Salutations (holding each for 5 breathes)
- Down dog, plank, up dog, child’s pose series (4 breathes each)
- Yoga Mudra for 10 breathes
- Full shoulder stand for 10 breathes the forward bend for 5 breathes (5 times)
- 10 rounds of Kapalabhati breathing while sitting in bound Angle
- Fish pose (10 breathes)
- Tree (10 breathes)
There you go. 25 minutes! I hit my goal again for 60 minutes of yoga this week. YEAH ME!!!
