WoYoPraMo ~ May intentions

I am going to participate in WoYoPracMo for the month of May.  The theme for this month is “Kicking it up a notch”.  I have not Yoga’ed at all since Jan 31, the last day of WoYoPracMo.

My intention for this month is a minimum of 60 minutes of Yoga each week.  This could mean:

  • (1) 60 minute practice
  • (2) 30 minute practices
  • (3) 20 minute practices
  • (4) 15 minute practices
  • any combination thereof

I’ll keep you posted!  Wish me luck.

April 29th

I went to class today.  I rode my bike and it was good.  The ride home didn’t kill me.  We had a substitute instructor in class today so we did different exercises today.  I’d be surprised if my abs and legs weren’t a bit sore tomorrow.  edited 5/1:  It’s two days later and my abs are still a bit sore.

Last week, I didn’t go to class.  We went to a Cubs game instead.  We parked at my brother’s apartment and walked about 0.80 miles each way to the red line.  That was only 4 stops away from Wrigley Field.  It was good.  I ended up not burning and the Cubs won..  LOL!!

dropping the kids off

Today, I was planning on riding the kids in the bike to drop Baby Girl off at school  The weather was nice enough, Little Man didn’t have school, and we had plenty of time.  It’s about a mile and a half, complete with hills.  It would have been good. 

We didn’t.  Little Man didn’t want to wear his helmet.  One of these days we will ride to school in the bike.

Bike ride

Tuesday after dinner, I took the kids for a bike ride.  I ride the bike and they are dragged along in the trailer.  It’s really quite fun and a great workout for me.  Plus we get out of the house and go to the park.  Yesterday, I rode 4.6 miles.  I don’t have the time, but that’s okay.  I was dragging two kids behind me.  We went down hills and up hills.  A couple of times I had to actually stand up to pedal.  :)

Here’s to many more bike rides this summer.

So…

I really wanted this to be accountability.wordpress.com, but somehow I managed to type an extra L.  So the url is accountablility.  Oh well.  The extra L must be for LOL.  Besides, http://accountability.wordpress.com was already taken and so was http://accountable.wordpress.com.  So I am accountablility! 

Thanks for putting up with me.

Also, as an update, my thighs and Sitz  bones were sore yesterday from class and bike riding.  We also purchased a bike trailer for the kids.  We’ll be able to ride to the parks in style.  I can’t wait!

Well…

It seems like I’ve been slacking on my fitness.  I haven’t.  I’ve been posting on the pages “Tuesday Fitness Class” and “Cardio/Strength”.  I’m going to get back into the habit of making regular posts on the main page again.
