the 29th of November
After today, there is one day left of NaBloPoMo. Yippee!!!
Today I did 15 Minute Workouts for Dummies. I did two of them, for buns and abs. I can tell you that I will be feeling it tonight. The buns were sort of variations of fire hydrants (I still ought to do more of them regularly as much as I talk about them). Of course for abs, different variations of crunches. Gay Gaspers is much too smiley throughout the whole workout.

Back on track
Today I did the Pilates for Dummies video. It was good to get back into the groove. Next week I’ll be able to actually go to a gym. I’m so excited. I’m so excited! I’m so lame.
Here’s something goofy… I have the video cued up so that it starts and the time starts at 0:00. When I re-wound it, it stopped with 7 minutes left. What’s up with that?? Did it go into some sort of time warp? Geez!!!!
I had two more hits on my blog for some variation of fire hydrants. Well, I haven’t done any more of them. Anyone who searched for fire hydrants, do they make a video? hee hee!!!

Bedtime in the Eastern Time zone
It was an interesting three nights. We live in the Central Time Zone. We start getting the kids ready for bed about 8:00 and in their bed around 8:30. As to the time that they actually fall asleep may vary.
For our trip to Ohio, the kids both had naps. Baby Girl slept for about an hour and a half or so and Little Man for maybe 30 minutes. Since we are now in the Eastern time zone, everything is adjusted to one hour later. Neither still wanted to go down at 9:30/8:30 Central. Finally, they do lay down and are quiet. As long as I’m still laying with them. For this trip, they share a room. They finally fall asleep and I wake up to go to my bed. Little man wakes up around 5:00? ish and he comes into bed with us for a little while. He’s quite wiggly, so I bring him back to his bed after a while and, you’ve guessed it, I lay with him and we both fall asleep until 8:00/7:00 CST.
Thursday night is a little better, although they both napped later than usual. Baby Girl sleeps for about 2 1/2-3 hours and Little Man about an hour. They do fall asleep with little prodding and coaxing and sleep until 8:00 EST.
Friday night, Little Man wakes up crying at 12:30, so I get him back to bed, and then an hour later he waked up again. I figure out that he’s cold, so he gets another blanket and sleeps until 8:00ish EST.
Fun, fun, fun!! The joys of parenting.

Early morning entry
Because I was awake when hubby left, I decided to get up and do something. I did my 15 minute Core DVD (played it on the laptop) and I actually did some fire hydrants interspersed in there. Yippee!!!
I didn’t do much for fire hydrants, or at least as much as I could have. I only did a set of 10 lifts and a set of 10 circles in each direction on each leg. Time to shower and start my short day of work.
Today we are heading to Ohio to in in-laws for Thanksgiving. We are picking the kids up after lunch and then driving over and crossing a time-zone. It’ll be fun.

Good intentions
Well, I did have good intentions today. I copped out yesterday and had lunch with my Mom. I had intended to doing a video today, but I ended up running to the church to drop some items off and then to the post office. The post office took forever. So here I am posting and eating spaghetti instead of exercising.
I may still end up getting off of my butt and do some fire hydrants, but don’t hold your breath. I’m not.

Monday, Monday…
Well, not much is going on today. I ended up not exercising today. I had a better offer of lunch with my Mom. We went shopping at Target and had lunch at Wendy’s. Not very exciting there.
Thanksgiving is Thursday and I have much to be thankful for. We will be traveling Wednesday to the In-laws in Ohio. In the past, we had left after dinner on Sunday. We pop in a movie for the kids and leave. This year will be different. The last two times that we came back from Ohio, baby girl threw up. The funny thing is that it ws pretty much in the same area that she threw up at both times. We drive west on 74. It is just AFTER we pass the rest area after Pittsboro. We must drive to Crawfordsville to clean her up.
This year, we are leaving after lunch instead. Watching a movie during daylight hours doesn’t seem to bother her. Hopefully they will both nap. We can only get so lucky. At this point, I’d settle for not puking.

Fire hydrants
I think it must be a sign. I’ve had four variations of the search term for fire hydrants. I should start doing them daily or weekly or something. We’ll see.
- Pilates leg moves hydrant
- pilates hydrant
- Pilates, fire hydrant
- Workout fire hydrants

Yoga
I did the Nancy Ruby video again. It was a nice change of pace after workout on Monday that I’m still feeling in my quads. I think I’m going to take a break from the bike for a while.
Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving lunch at Baby Girls school. That’ll be fun and I’ll report back on that.

oh boy…
Man… All those squats yesterday did a number on my quads. Going down the stairs is painful!! The abs are a little sore, but they are tolerable. I’m not sure what I’ll be doing tomorrow. I’m taking a break from da bike. I’ll take it easy and do one of my Yoga videos.
On another note, it is a really beautiful day outside. I can see the blue sky from my little basement window. It’s not quite as cold down here today, I only have a sweatshirt on as opposed to a flannel and an afghan wrapped around me!

Work out time
This week I will be working out on Monday and Wednesday and next week, Monday and Tuesday. This week Baby Girl’s school has Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday and I will be attending. It’s always a load of fun. Next week we will be travelling to the in-laws in Ohio again. I will still be popping on for NaBloPoMo. I won’t disappoint!
Today I did two 15 minute work outs. I will need the day of rest in between!! I did the Core work out, up for a challenge option and the strength workout, easy, but with weights. OMG!!! Those little 2 pound weights really start to feel like 15 pounds and a few minutes. I’ll be hurting later tonight.
